My name is Larry Dwayne, and I am a musician and an environmental activist raising awareness on the importance of having clean Rivers and maintaining sustainability through community initiatives. Recently, my efforts received global recognition when my song on conservation of water bodies received the 2020 “Euro-Fishion” award from Europe.

Larry is an award winning Hiphop artist who is dedicated to the use art and music to create awareness about the environment. The Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation officially handed the winner of the Euro-fishion song contest trophy to Larry Dwayne. The competition was organised by the WorldFish MigrationDay as a way of highlighting through music the challenges Migratory fish are facing along rivers and streams. Through this petition, on behalf of a team of volunteers, I ask for your help to clean the polluted river “Nyamasaria”, located in the Kisumu County in Kenya. We want to take action before it gets worse like Nairobi River which is in a really bad state, almost irreversible. I hope this petition can be equally successful and provide a better life for local villagers, fish and aquatic organisms living close or in the waters of the Nyamasaria River.

We also do take part in river restorations around the country . The initiative seeks to restore a fundamental waterbodies through youth cooperation. This will be done while disseminating information on the concept of sustainability amongst educational institutions and engaging the youth in entrepreneurship trainings.
